LONG RANGE SHARED USE PATHWAYS PLANNING
Our community's ability to plan for and develop the multi-modal infrastructure that will serve our transporation needs in a post-peak oil world will directly affect our quality of life and our ability to attract new residents and business well into the future.
While the project above, if funded, would be a great start, there are many more "miles" to consider. Please click on the images below to view the 3 main proposed shared use (bike/pedestrian) paths. These are merely a starting point, but make the most sense in terms of using existing transportation corridors (within the ITD right of way), minimizing the need for purchasing easements across private ground. As gas prices continue to rise over the next few decades, these 10-12 foot wide paths will provide all of us with a set of SAFE walk/bike pathways to get to town and back home.
